On this day in 2009, the bitcoin network was created when Satoshi Nakamoto mined the starting block of the chain, known as the genesis block. I am proud to present my latest 3D model: a bust of Dorian S. Nakamoto, a man whose name is similar to the Bitcoin inventor. The texture of the bust is inspired by an engraving technique used on one dollar bills. The model also includes a fractal blocks layer representing the true essence of Satoshi. It was rendered in Marmoset Toolbag, I have created the high model in Zbrush, retopologized and handpainted in 3dcoat, rigged in Blender with a customized rigify rig and also animated in Blender.

This model was part of a job application test. My task was to model and texture a candy shop which had to match in color and style based on two delivered 3d renderings. I really enjoyed to work on this sweet little model and to paint all those tiny details. Hope you like it too :>
