Helmet variations of the Ascalon type Made for the RIR: Imperium Surrectum mod, for the game Rome Total War Remastered. Made in Blender - 673 vertices / 1281 edges The process consists of modelling a low poly version, from which a copy is made with a very high dense mesh where details are sculpted in, later baked onto its low poly counterpart. SciFi/Cyberpunk inspired helmet. Original design by me.
With this project I tried to experiment a new workflow. I created my own alphas in maya to create a new brush in Zbrush. It allowed me to put a lot of small details on my helmet. I still wanted to retopo my model in order for it to be real time rendered. The final lowpoly model has exactly 20K tris, and has a single 2K textures
