I was looking back on my older work and decided I wanted to have another go at making an evolve based monster. Owning the art book I decided to develop a concept by Stephen Oakley of the Goliath (of which didn’t make it into the game). Having only one picture to go on has been a real challenge, but has been great fun and an awesome learning process.

Hello, this is my version of “Apylon, the Soul-Render” by Blizzard.
I felt like this is such a cool sword, I wanted to give it a remake, and ended up making a sword quite different from Blizzards own style.
For modelling I used.
“3DS Max” (basemesh, retopo cleanup, and unwrap) & “ZBrush” for the highpoly.
Texturing:
