A sci-fi holographic computer I made that is loosely based off the IBM 5100. Originally created for Second Life, shown here in Metalness PBR. Textured in Quixel Suite and Photoshop, modeled in Blender with the HardOps plugin.
The hologram is static for now, it normally has an animation (in other engines) but I am still trying to figure out a good way to have both a smooth interpolated rotation of the rings on the bottom and a hard transition of frames on the main screen (only way I can currently think of is to use the frame-by-frame method here but that would require way too much mesh data for smooth rotation). This video cassette recorder is a product by the German company Hanseatic. The 3D model of the VCR 200 features plenty of easily to animate buttons, switches, and doors. A few scratches here and there and a thin layer of dust sure make it look like the VCR you used to have, or still have, lying around at home.
If you download the .blend file, you can enjoy the bevel modifiers and locked axes for easy manipulation of the buttons, and dials.
