" Many weeks have passed since she lost the group. The scientific wonders were no longer in her head. Survival became the first priority. The abandon places resumed their task and started holding life again. She lost everything but the lights were always on, hoping that someone would spot them on the distance." Hand painted scene I did for my Game Graphics final exam in Digital Arts and Entertainment. For the concept I based myself on the abandon military and scientific bases of Deception Island (Antartica), including the old whale oil refinery factories. While searching for some reference, I fell in love with the colors and mood that some of the pictures depicted from these places . They are completly abandoned and destroyed, but their surroundings seemed so quiet, pure and constant in time that made these houses feel like the only reserves of life in the place, even though they were forgotten long time ago. To ensure colour accuracy the Raw Photography was profiled with X-Rite ColorChecker and a unique profile created for sRGB Colour Gamut in Lightroom.
Lods have been cleaned up to remove floating polygons and close holes (where possible). ote there are 2 diffuse maps with this package. The first diffuse map texture is the original photography he second map is called diffuse_3 and are delit for re-lighting so you have both options available to you.
