Assignment for GAP at DAE Howest, a complex object, theme “optics”. I chose this Red Dot scope from Vortex Optics. Modeled in Maya, for the Highpoly I used a mix of techniquessome subd modeling in Maya, some crease tool always in Maya, some retopologizing/dynameshing in ZBrush. My entry for the February Challenge of Frontiers. Here we have a cowboy on his way to discover what lays beyond what his eyes can see in the desert. I wanted to take a lower poly and stylized approach to this model, and make it look like a drawing rather than a 3D model. I modeled this in Maya, and with the exception of a few meshes I threw into Substance Painter for opacity, assigned lambert materials for most of the colors 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 240570 polygons.

These grav bikes can sail over the worst zones of the Wastes without attracting much attention from local wildlife, but make sure you get a tetnis shot (or two) before slamming the gas.
