I had the pleasure of attending Weston Reid’s CGMA class on Stylized Characters and learned a load. Especially how leveraging HP bakes and Painter passes can get the best start on a greyscale. After that was a color gradient pass in Painter and then a final paint over in 3DCoat.

Hello everyone,
This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing.
