  Handheld Radio 3D Model 2023-11-03
After learning so much from my Placement at Brain & Nerd, I wanted to have a bit of fun and make a handheld radio. Always wanted to make one of these with my own twist to them. I have always loved the combination of modern and vintage tech, so with this one, I wanted to do the same. Mesh was made in Blender and textured within Substance Painter! My recreation of the Glock 19. I made it last summer 2023 while learning to use Plasticity for the first time. There are a lot of changes from the original design because when I started the project, I didn’t have in mind to model the gun exactly the same, it was more of a learning exercise. But in the end I wanted to finish it and texturize the result to see how this new software would adapt to my workflow, giving this as a result. On the other hand, I tried to keep the geometry with a quad-based topology, it’s always a challenge to generate a mesh with perfect loops. But at the end of the project I used tris to close parts. Although the mesh may not be optimal for a game engine, it serves its purpose as a valuable learning exercise rather than a production-ready asset 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 38732 polygons.
