I have to design the whole thing from the ground up, from the size of the barrel, its bullet all the way to how the magazine can actually insert into the gun. I stick the design as closely to the miniature as possible and spend most of my time figuring out the mechanic. 4K texture and 2 versions. One slightly wider to look more akin to the miniature. 3d model i’ve been working on for a few months now. the base design comes from the universe Warhammer 40k, i decided to make it a space wolf dreadnought with the old paint style of light gray/red instead of the blue/yellow one we mainly see, it’s also part of the iron wolves Great Company. modelled with blender and textured with substance painter, i practiced a lot on using hardened normals in my workflow, most edges of the mesh are using this to help smooth the shape. the model is rigged and has a material with 1 set of 4k PBR textures, the base with rocks and dirt is a speparate mesh with it’s own material of 2k PBR baked textures. included with the .FBX and textures will be a .zip file with a blender database fully set up and ready to render 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 122543 polygons.
