A clay jug with an ornament represents the traditions of Kosiv ceramics, which are on the list of the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine. This technique was formed in the 18th century in the Hutsul region and is still preserved in several local villages. Each product of Kosiv ceramics is unique as each is handcrafted. Paintings are usually done in 3 colors (yellow, green, and brown) and reflect authentic ornaments, Hutsul life, and beliefs, or biblical stories.
