This project was modeled in Blender 2.9x and textured with Substance Painter. Creating the armature while I was in the block-out phase of 3D modeling really helped me get the transformation correct. Zeta Gundam combines my love for mechs and aircraft into one. I created this incorporating all of my favorite features from the countless variants of Z Gundam. A battle diorama based on the anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury”. Specifically the battle is based on the battle simulation between the students of Earth House and Grassley House from episode 9 of the anime. The Mobile suits on display inlcude: XVX-016 Gundam Aerial, CFK-029 Michaelis and the CEK-077 Beguir-Pente.
The models are rigged and optimized for real time rendering. The modeling itself was done in Maya and the texture work for the mobile suits was done in Substance Painter, as for the environmental textures they were made in Substance Designer 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 169158 polygons.
