A 14th century farmer using a heavy plough pulled by oxen. I was approached by BuildersBrew to create a small diorama of a Medieval Farmer ploughing the fields, this was based off of some references provided and is to be used within the immersive mobile app for The Chester House Estate. Conservation with the overall tricount, texture space and alpha usage in the project was important to make sure the model could load well in the application, the texture for the character was 4k for this render however this was reduced to 2k in the application and the overall tricount came in at around 70k for the whole project. This is an accurate reconstruction of the iconic Roman Gladius with the Mainz pattern type blade. Dimensions, shapes and materials are attempted to be as authentic as possible.
Besides the low poly model, a high poly model was also created to project the sculpting details onto the textures for higher quality.
Included are obj., dae. and fbx. files of the low poly and a obj. file of the high poly, besides the original blend. file. PBR Metal/Roughness textures are provided as well as the Spec/Gloss textures + additional textures. Other configurations possibly available upon request.
