Neptūnus. Antiq god of freshwater and sea in the roman mythology. From the time of the Punic Wars (264-146 BC), when the Romans demonstrate their naval superiority, Neptūnus has been equated with the Greek god Poseidon. (Germany, Switzerland, Spain, California, Peru, Ecuador, Brasil, Mexico…) This specific model can be found at the original foundry location, Pocé-sur-Cisse (1625 inhabitants), 10km from my home ! When I found this statue, I didn't expect so much history about it !
