This cylindrical stone monument (MAHS-IND-ACH-PID-SKT-S-002-F-0012) is located in an Islamic cemetery. It is tilted at an angle and sits on a low circular base made of stone and reinforced with concrete. Local tradition holds that in the past, accused criminals would be made to swear on the stone before being sentenced. Although the stone has fractured and been repaired, it is still considered sacred by the local community. The door was part of my UE4 personal project ‘Citadel of Qaitbay’ based on a famous citadel in Alexandria, Egypt from Islamic Mamluke period.
