Just like with the USS Cayuga of the same class, she is a long range explorer, with minimum staff and lots of internal space used for science and exploration as well as resources to sustain her away from port for many years. She is a later iteration of the old Chayenne class starships, which also had four nacelles, only this latter engine assembly is far more efficient and calibrated to sustain a very solid warp field for long durations of time. 3D model commissioning by Kalashnikov 3D, owned by Auctor Lucan (http://auctor-lucan.deviantart.com/ ). I’d say this is from sometime a little after TOS, with experimental Bridge shaping. THe nacels are TOS, but more detailed and stronger hull plating around sensitive areas (like the buzzard collectors).
