This is a 3-D model of a stone figurine of an angel. The figurine is off-white in colour, roughly the size of 13.3cm by 15.7cm by 17.2cm. It depicts an angel, relatively chubby, sitting down with its legs crossed, with a finger on its lips. Some features it has are: curled hair, a pair of feathered wings and clothing covering parts of the bottom half of the body. It has been a furniture in my home for more than 10 years. It signifies peace and love in the family, protecting and loving us. Angels have an interesting history and its feattures: feathered wings and human-like limbs/face depicts their connection between God and humans perfectly. This model was produced using the software: Agisoft Photoscan Professional. Photographs were taken in a 360-degree view to process and produce the model. The Leshan Giant Buddha is a 71 metre tall stone statue, built between 713 and 803 (during the Tang dynasty). It is carved out of a cliff face of Cretaceous red bed sandstones that lies at the confluence of the Min River and Dadu River in the southern part of Sichuan Province in China, near the city of Leshan. The stone sculpture faces Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below its feet. It is the largest and tallest stone Buddha statue in the world and it is by far the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It is over 4-kilometre from the Wuyou Temple. The Mount Emei Scenic Area, including Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area, has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. I took one of my guitar models and through texturing, I wanted to narrate its story – how it was crafted at the Fender factory in the 60s, its owner playing extensively in bars, being less than gentle with it, while wearing clothing adorned with metal studs, yet remaining a true virtuoso. Software used - Maya and Substance Painter.
