2nd half of the 19th century, Rudawa, Poland
Cupboards were usually made by a local carpenter upon commission and their possession was indicative of its ownerโs wealth. This furniture was used until July 1966 when it was purchased by the museum from Jรณzef Mucha from Rudawa.
The surface of the cupboard is covered with a single colour primer โ green obtained by mixing Parisian blue with bright yellow. Four little bouquets are put on profiled door panels. On the surface of the sides, on the external edges, a flower festoons motif is repeated. In the upper part of the base, a circular wreath of tiny leaves is painted.
