Its body, mostly devoid of feathers, has a dorsal region, wings, and the tip of its tail covered in bright blue plumage that emits light in the darkness of the night.
Insects and Larvae Trap:
The feathers on the antennae have specialized structures that secrete a sweet and enticing scent to attract nocturnal insects and larvae. When the insects are drawn in by the light and the scent, they become trapped in the feathers of the antennae, which function as a natural trap. This provides an additional food source for the Luminaves, ensuring a constant supply of nutrients.
