Gilt wood shine on carrying poles with a recumbant statue of Anubis on top recovered from the so called “Treasury" room in the tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62) in the Valley of the Kings, 18th Dynasty. The Anubis statue is carved cedar covered wth gesso and black paint. The statue is pegged to the top of the shine which has a seperate board for a lid which slides to reveal an inner comparment, the front portion of which is divided into four smaller compartments. It is currently in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, Cairo, but will be moved to the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) sometime most likely in 2023. The shrine and statue are accession number JE61444 and Carter number 261. Created from 237 photos (Canon EOS Rebel T7i and Moto G5 Stylus) using Metashape and Blender. Photographed as single piece with lid seperated in Blender and interior reconstucted using photos from original excavations. Photographed in January 2023 3D Model is ready to download for free

Small shawabti (ushebti) figurine. This is a modern forgery manufactured in the 1920s in Luxor, Egypt. Purchased (1 of 3) in Luxor in 2002. According to the shop keeper, his grandfather and great grandfather produced them by making molds from real figurines.

This timber carving of the archangel St Michael stands at 3.3 metres tall, with its large medallion engraved with a cross coming in at 5.4 meters and is suspended from the vaulted ceiling on the Scottish National War Memorial 9.3 metres above the casket that holds the Roll of Honour of the Scottish War Dead.
The carving is made of Scottish Oak and was made by the Clow brothers from a design by Alice Meredith-Williams.
The Scottish War Memorial opened in 1927 after the former North Barracks were altered. It is located at the North side of Crown Square, at the site of the church of St Mary, previously used as munitions store in the 1530s.
