  Ayanami 3D Model 2026-09-16
It's almost a year ago that I uploaded my first ship model, the IJN Fubuki, so I decided to make one of her more advanced sister ships: The IJN Ayanami. The Ayanami was build for the Imperial Japanese Navy and when introduced into service she was one of the most powerful destroyer in the world. She sustained critical damage after being shelled by the USS Washington during the second phase of the Battle of Guadalcanal (15 November 1942) and was later scuttled by IJN Uranami. (reuploaded on 11/21/2021 with remodelled bridge, new textures for hull and boats)

**Please turn on the animation for city ambience! ** This took a long time to make! The hardest part was making it look fine on sketchfab. Also I’m submitting this to the January contest in February.... yeah. But it still fits the criteria! I imagined a more “Yakuza” games style level, where the same space acts as a hub world and a fighting arena. Also I took huge influence from Tokyo-to from jet set radio. Named Echo City, built on the pacific ocean by business congloramates to act as a city state and a tax haven. As it is a new nation all of the citizens are immigrants, so that explains the multilingual signs everywhere.
