The BAR was created in 2005 for CTDP's F1 2005 mod. Originally the mod was released for F1 Challenge and later re-released in 2006 for rFactor. The car model was created by Wai Keen Lam with textures by Daniel ‘Dahie' Senff. Both set themselves up for a challenge: If Wai would create the model within four days, Daniel would finish the textures within the same week.
