A fully procedural Islamic dome. Both the model and texture are procedurally done in geometry nodes and materials in Blender 3D. The dome design is based on the main mosque of Yazd. Yazd is a historic city in the center of Iran, and a world UNESCO site. The city is iconic for its adobe houses and endless towers.
The tower itself has a Timurian (Tamerlane) architecture. The dome part contains a set of repeating geometrical patterns, followed by two sections of caligraphy. The upper part is knotted Kufic calligraphy, it says Mecca ( مکه), the holy city of Islam. The second row is square Kufic calligraphy, reading Allah and another word I cant read.
