Vincent Lukáč získal na majstrovstvách sveta dve zlaté (1977 a 1985) a dve strieborné medaile (1982 a 1983) a na ZOH 1984 v Sarajeve striebornú medailu. Dva razy sa stal najlepším strelcom čs. ligy (1980 – 43 gólov a 1982 – 49 gólov), v lige dosiahol spolu 393 gólov.
