Hewn by the erosion of columnar volcanic rocks at Cape Stolbchaty (https://skfb.ly/6WsCN) on Kunashir island form the stone pavements of natural origin. Such formations are found only in two places on the planet: here and in Ireland - the Giant’s Causeway.

Mile Rock Beach is in a small cove tucked below the Lands End Viewpoint in San Francisco’s portion of Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
