This is the first game asset I have developed and worked on through the whole process. In August, 2017 I have joined French Foreign legion modding discord as a 3d artist, to work on the development of mods for Squad (the game). The first assignment I took over was the mortar. The process took a bit longer ( month or so), since I have a full time job and limited time to work on my solo projects. The process started with research and gathering of all the references possible. Next step was to block out the major parts and start working on the high poly model. The biggest problem was to figure out how the mortar actually works, shoots, moves and folds. After completing the high poly I started modeling the low poly. Next step was to unwrap the whole thing and get it ready for painting. After initial painting was finished I imported everything to Unreal Engine to see how everything looks in the Squad itself. I reiterated these 2 steps a couple of times, until it was finished 3D Model is ready to download for free
with 12 Texture files attached, this model contains 66906 polygons and 35917 vertices.

It was based on the episode 3 version, i got some test render images from the original CGI model so i was able to re use them all and remake it in detailed high quality, PBR material and in low poly.
It is good to easily to use in cimenatic, scenes or for projects.
It is rigged, You can use it in Blender, Cinema 4d or in other programs.
You will get also the source 3ds max file (2016), so you not need the latest version.
All the textures are in 4K for better quality for your projects!
