Notre-Dame de la Garde (literally: Our Lady of the Guard), in French for Marseille's citizens “la bonne mère" (the good (holy) mother), is a Catholic basilica in Marseille, France, and the city's best-known symbol. La Fontaine de la Fréjaire appelée aussi Fontaine des Cordeliers fut construite au XVIIème siècle sur la Place de la Fréjaire par Guyon Guérin de Bouscal. Ce dramaturge réalmontais né protestant vers 1613 s’est converti au catholicisme, il est l’auteur d’une dizaine de pièces de théâtres et d’une trilogie adaptée du roman de Cervantès, dont le « Gouvernement de Sancho Pança » qui fut joué par la troupe de Molière entre 1659 et 1665. Guérin de Bouscal résida à Paris de 1634 à 1645 puis revint dans le Languedoc et fut nommé en 1651 premier consul de Réalmont. Il inspira également Molière pour son Don Juan. Le 31 décembre 1675 il décède à Réalmont.
