The sword of D. João de Mascarenhas can be characterized as a rapier, a type of sword that evolved from the Spanish ropera in the late XVI century. Rather than a military sword the rapier was used in a more civil fashion. It was an ornamental item used by the nobility of the XVII and XVIII centuries and if it ever had to be used in combat it would be mainly in duels. However, since duelers could not wear armor or bear shields, the use of the rapier lead to the development of defense techniques solely based on body movement and blocking with the sword itself. Usually the rapier was a very light and very balanced sword, with its guard in the shape of a cup. This, however, is not the case with the sword of D. A lowpoly dude and its sword full animation moveset

This is the first low poly human i’ve modeled.
The animations were inspired in the moveset of straightswords in Dark Soul.
Back when I made this, i’ve never tried Low poly 3D as a style, and aesthetics wise.
Since then I realized that low poly its such a great resource for a guy like me, who’s trying to learn everything by itself to use it in it’s own project so then can be made in lesser time than when using the “next-gen” aproach for creating 3d graphics. 3D model of Ardrossan Castle during the 1st week of the Exploring Castle Hill Excavations of 2019. The model was captured with photos taken on two seperate days and with visitors and diggers milling about but Reality Capture software has filtered much of this noise out and blender was used to edit out any problem area’s.
Exploring Castle Hill is part of a Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Project being led by Northlight Heritage for Garnock Connections. The Project is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Environment Scotland.
