Scarlett Coatee, officer's, 3rd Battalion Company Royal Cornwall Local Militia. Scarlet short tailed coatee of the Waterloo period. Royal blue facings shown on collar, cuffs and front turnbacks. Pocket in each side of the tails accessible from the outside. Ten large buttons down front turnbacks on each side, each side arranged in five pairs. Dummy pocket flaps on each tail secured by four large buttons on each flap arranged in two pairs at the same spacing as the front turnbacks. Four large buttons on each tail, arranged on each side one at waist. Blue turnback cuffs, cut square with each cuff secured by four large buttons, spaced in two pairs as for front turnbacks. Two small buttons on collar, and all buttons have long imitation button holes embroidered in dark blue or black on the facings and in scarlet on the scarlet. The model was created by Purpose3D. 1942 khaki battle dress blouse. This new style of jacket was developed for better manouverabillity with the increased introduction of motorised vehicles to the military. There are 2 hook and eye fastenings on the collar of the jacket with 5 metal buttons running down the right-hand side of the jacket. There are 2 pockets on either breast fastened with a plain button. On the top of either sleeve is a Cornwall badge in red, and directly brlow is a blue patch with a yellow dragon detailing. There is a slight spot of discoloration on the bottom of the breast pocket on the right- this almost looks like some sort of bleach stain. Inside the jacket is a label that reads “Battledress Blouses, Serge. Size no 6.” And the date stamp is June 1942.

Ce biscuit représente une jeune femme habillée à la mode japonaise : elle porte un long kimono serré à la taille et tombant sur des sandales laissant voir ses orteils. Elle tient dans la main droite un éventail et ses cheveux sont relevés en chignon. Elle se tient légèrement cambrée, la main gauche posée sur la taille. La statuette repose sur un socle où apparaissent des motifs végétaux (herbes, cailloux).
Le sujet dénote, avec un léger décalage, le succès de la mode japonisante à la fin du 19e siècle.
