Biscuit moulé de la Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, 1905. H. 41,5 cm ; P. 14 cm Ce biscuit représente une jeune femme habillée à la mode japonaise : elle porte un long kimono serré à la taille et tombant sur des sandales laissant voir ses orteils. Elle tient dans la main droite un éventail et ses cheveux sont relevés en chignon. Elle se tient légèrement cambrée, la main gauche posée sur la taille. La statuette repose sur un socle où apparaissent des motifs végétaux (herbes, cailloux). Le sujet dénote, avec un léger décalage, le succès de la mode japonisante à la fin du 19e siècle.
