Fortuna is represented standing, holding in her left hand the horn of plenty (filled with fruits, symbol of wealth of the Earth), and on the right a long sceptre. Pontus, God of the Black Sea, is represented in the left, rising nude from the waves of the seа, looking up towards the goddess. With the right hand is leaning on a tree and with the left one on the prow of a ship. The piece was discovered in Constanta in 1962. The relief dated from the first half of the 2nd century A.D. This is a 3D model of an ancient marble statue in the Glyptotek Museum in København, Denmark. It is a sculpture of the Roman emperor Trajan. The statue depicts Trajan in a standing position with pieces of both arms missing from the statue. Trajan ruled Rome from 98 to 117 CE. He was seen as a very benevolent ruler and was most known for projects that benefited the Roman society. Such projects include constructing aqueducts and building public baths.
