This is one of the projects I did for the CGMA stylized props course with Ashleigh Warner. Scifi was a huge challenge for me, as it's not a subject I generally work with. So I had to go back and forth a lot with the concept, but eventually it turned out kinda cool, so I'm glad I went through all the steps. This shall be a portal to hell, which was my first 3D Artwork. The Stones with the illuminating signs shall represent the seven mortal sins: Wrath, jealousy, pride, lust, greed, sloth and gluttony. I tried to get specific signs for each sin in the topology of the stones, which was rather bad. Now its clear I should have textured these signs on the rocks. That would have been much easier and the result has been better. In the inner space of the portal are tentacles, one for each sin. So the sinners will be grabbed by the specific tentacle and brutally thrown into the portal 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 12834 polygons.

I made this mace as a part of a series of weapons. Like my “Axe of fallen angels”, this will be modded into skyrim someday :)
