The process consists of modelling a low poly version, from which a copy is made with a very high dense mesh where details are sculpted in, later baked onto its low poly counterpart.
This is arguably one of the first big challenges that I came across in my contributions to the mod, for one simple reason: as a beginner I still did not know how to have more than 1 texture in one single model. The upside is that I greatly enjoy the process of finding out the answers to a problem and the satisfaction one derives from finally being able to achieve what you want 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 716 polygons.

Thai statue of a male warrior with a bow and quiver. The Sandstone material makes this statue light and relatively fragile.
Equipment used: Canon 600D (used around 175 photos in a phototent+turntable setup with continuous dual softbox lighting).
Software used: Agisoft Photoscan, RAW photo editor, Blender,Instant Meshes and Substance Painter.
Mesh:
The Original Scan had around 22M faces/triangles and was decimated to around 4.5M before baking a normal map from it.
The Lowpoly has 20K triangles.
Texture: the texture in the preview is an 8K texture, i’ve also made a 2k and 4k texture.
If you want a good view of the scan’s quality, check the ‘Matcap+Surface’ option in the model inspector.
Remember you can adjust the lighting by holding ALT + Left mouse button.
