One month assignment. The goal was to make a next-gen character, ready to be implemented into a game. I really wanted to make a scifi character in his combat suit. I was inspired by Star Citizen, but Halo’s designs are really the best ones for this. For the process, at first I made the lowpoly model in Maya, then I went to Zbrush to subdivide it and put all the details needed with my own alphas. I baked the highpoly model in susbtance painter, and then I tried to make several smart materials to texture the whole character. I also did 2 different camos, because I needed a character that could fit in my upcoming space station project. I also rigged my character with my own auto-rig, therefore I was able to put it in several poses. And finally, for the rendered pictures, I used marmoset 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 52158 polygons.

First horse finally finished! Hand painted textures done in Photoshop and modelling done in 3ds Max. This project was a lot of fun, I have never modelled a creature on for legs before so this was a nice challenge and I have learned a lot from it.
