This amphibious beast was created as the test case for my Pluralsight course on Character Design, entitled “An Immortal Design: Character Design Theory and Development." I poured my heart into this course - I really hope you enjoy it! In it, I cover the range of methods you'll need to create original, iconic characters. I created this project for fun and to learn more about hand-painting. It was a fun challenge to try to push the girl’s emotions to the limit while still staying true to the comic’s panel. (Chapter 1, Page 10)

9 weeks in total to get this girl working. From sculpting to rigging, animation and character controllers, this goblin has been a heck of a challenge. I’m happy to be out of the other side with a lot more useful skills under my belt.
I made this character for my uni assesment after an artwork by Sam Frisk on Twitter.
I followed a high to low workflow, maxed roughness PBR texture, and even made a simple custom rig.
