Initially made as a little decoration for VRchat to fill some empty space. Really liked how this came out and figured others could use it if they wanted something that's not too low poly but not hyper realistic either. Use it however you like, commercial or personal. Was a great project to get back into Blender. Textures are 1024 because of VRchat limits, but I'm sure they can be resized to your needs and repainted. She is Annie, a fin whale found on the shores of Piombino in 1990. The skeleton is more than 19 metres long and it weights around 27 tons.
Right in the garden of the Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo (MUSMED) was built the beautiful Sala del Mare that now hosts Annie and other cetaceans and dioramas. The architectural project was made by architect Giuseppe Milanesi. The external shape of the Sala del Mare recalls the profile of a large cetacean, and inside of it seems to be in the shell of a big wooden ship.
Annie, which is the symbol and the logo of the Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo, is featured in the short cartoon movie BLU, made by Andrea Camerini.
