Perhaps, it’s the first fanart in my life. Made with love for studying sculpting, retopology, and painting by hand. For a posing purpose, she was also rigged. Since her suit is mostly painted on flat, posing was a headache ) So the topology is a mess now, but free of most visible distortions. Hooray.

This is a 3D scan of a cockroach I bought on etsy. It’s part of a larger project where I combined 3D modeled assets with photogrammetry (see http://whatswrongwithwhite.tumblr.com/image/177884973392 ). I used a lot of custom photo equipment (macro lens, polarization filters, extension tubes and a 3D printed cockroach holder from shapeways). For cleanup I used blender (cleaning up holes, chopping up into body parts, modeling deatils). For the final material design and export Substance Painter did a great job.

You find yourself lost in a manor and every door behind you is locked, there’s no way to get out.
After fiddling around looking for any open exit, you spot the bust of a statue right by the blocked door, its head having seemingly been cleanly fractured away from its neck. You turn your gaze and spot the head itself sitting just a bit further in the room.
You know what to do.
Statue I sculpted for the school project this year! The sculpting itself took me 4 hours from scratch, which I’m quite happy about.
Programs used: Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Unity Engine.
