This time I wanted to make something from an actual concept instead of a real object. I took a lot of inspiration from the modeling and texturing techniques of games like Fortnite, Overwatch and other stylized game. I'd say stylized is not my strength, but I wanted to try it! I also managed to rig it and try animating for the first time to give it some spice! I'm very happy with how it came out at the end, knowing I can constantly improve on essential aspects such as texturing and modeling. I want to take the time to thank Leonardo Raponi, Claudio Tumiati, Andrea Orioli, Ilaria Troullier, Alberto Casu, Marco Vergantini and everyone in the “TheScostumati" Discord server who have helped me with various aspects during the making of this project such as modeling, texturing, rigging and animation. Asset modeled in Blender, baked in Marmoset Toolbag 4, and textured in Quixel Mixer. Made with 4K texture maps (Albedo, AO, Metalness, Roughness, Normal). Model is composed of 432,368 tris. The goal of this model was to practice using marmoset and quixel to make an asset similiar to one existing in a game to test my abilities, i chose to model the drilldozer (doretta) from Deep Rock Galactic. The game has a low-poly aesthetic and i wanted to try to make a more photoreal version and had to make some adjustments to the design to fit the change. In my model exists some minor errors due to my current knowledge of Marmoset and Quixel and i have noted down the issues and plan to learn more about these softwares to avoid these issues in my future models 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 432368 polygons.
