Powstanie Warszawskie rozpoczęło się 1 sierpnia 1944 roku w Warszawie i było największym zrywem niepodległościowym podczas II wojny światowej. Było częścią większej operacji militarnej Armii Krajowej o kryptonimie „Burza”. Wybuch powstania oficjalnie zaplanowano na godzinę 17:00, którą określono, jako godzinę „W”. Powstanie trwało aż 63 dni, kończąc się 2 października 1944 roku. Powstańcy broń i amunicję zdobywali na przeciwniku, a braki uzupełniali bronią z konspiracyjnych zakładów – produkowano miotacze ognia, butelki zapalające, pistolety maszynowe „Błyskawica” oraz granaty („sidolówki” i „filipinki”). Powstańcy nie mieli też jednolitych mundurów. Walczyli w ubraniach cywilnych lub zdobycznych mundurach niemieckich. Po tygodniach heroicznej walki zginęło od 16 tys. do 18 ty żołnierzy AK i do 180 tys. cywilów (ok. 60 tyś. zamordowanych podczas tzw. rzezi Woli w dniach 5-12 sierpnia 1944 r.). An armillary sphere is an astronomical instrument, a model of the celestial sphere. It was used to demonstrate celestial phenomena and determine the time and equatorial and ecliptic coordinates. The armillary sphere enabled simulation of astronomical phenomena, including the movement of planets in relation to the Sun. It was made by Franciszek Słupski as part of his doctoral thesis defended at the Philosophy Department of the University of Kraków.

In ancient Assyria, hunting lions was considered the sport of kings, symbolic of the ruling monarch’s duty to protect and fight for his people. The sculpted reliefs in Room 10a illustrate the sporting exploits of the last great Assyrian king, Ashurbanipal (668–631 BC) and were created for his palace at Nineveh (in modern-day northern Iraq).
The hunt scenes, full of tension and realism, rank among the finest achievements of Assyrian Art. They depict the release of the lions, the ensuing chase and subsequent killing.

Figura humana sentada. La cabeza, simple prolongación de un largo cuello, se halla desprovista de rasgos faciales. El único brazo conservado se reduce a un muñón, que parecen representar sólo el bíceps. Las piernas, cruzadas, se adelantan formando un anillo. La pieza, totalmente pintada de rojo, está bruñida. Desde su descubrimiento en el año 1970, permaneció expuesta en la propia Cueva Pintada y tras el cierre de la misma en el año 1982, se depositó en las casas consistoriales del Ayuntamiento de Gáldar, hasta que en el año 2006 pasó a formar parte del colección permanente del Museo y Parque Arqueológico Cueva Pintada.
