This is a small prop for urban sci-fi scenes. I came up with the idea as a science fiction version of a modern paper newspaper vending machine. Although newspapers vending machines have been being phased out for some time due to the transition to the internet… I thought this concept would work well as something to fill in an urban environment.
The rack was modeled in blender and textured in substance painter. The screen animation uses 16 planes for each frame, cycled through using shape-keys. The screen animation graphics were created within blender using keyframe animation, the principled BDSF shader, and the compositor 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 820 polygons.
