Personal project “Ronin” Don't be fooled by this warrior's sad appearance, this lone Ronin is capable of slicing through anything with his energy katana. I had to make a few little changes to the concept because I wanted to model and animate this character as a game model, it still looked to be very close to the original idea. Bilbo’s Pantry is inspired by the Bag End Pantry concept created by the amazing John Howe. That concept, along with the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, motivated me to create this scene. I wanted to get back to some stylized, hand painted textures and created this scene with that goal in mind. The pantry scene is low poly and utilizes diffuse and specular maps only.
Tolkien’s works have been a big part of my life and I really enjoyed working on this piece. I hope to expand on it in the future and build more of Bag End.

This piece was created for the artstation feudal japan challenge. Unfortunately i didn’t finish on time so i put the piece on hold till now.
I chose this concept art to push myself and try work outside of my comfort zone. My main goals were to improve working on a female character, clothes, hair and working off of someone else’s concept.
